There are some MUCH better options than Howard I would imagine. Bishop being the #1 candidate, followed by Fleury or Murray, then either of Dallas' goalies would be a better fit than Howard. Detroit is stuck with that contract (unless he retires and is sent to Phoenix).

When interviewed the day before his shutout about his ailment, Rask said ideally he would need to be out for a month to totally heal. I still think Khudos will be fine if that happens, that's the reason they went out and got him in the first place. The team has played like total garbage in front of every goalie besides rask this season so far. That's on the team, not the goalie. If they had played all week like they played Detroit then we wouldn't even be having this conversation
