Haven't watched all the games super close so far...
but Grant has not looked all that good to me
I'm all for Larsson or Fasching getting his PP time at this point

- jdfitz77

Grant hasn't been too impressive to this point. I like Fasching's game and he has certainly earned his spot.

It looks pretty good, but I think we need another big gun in there. Another guy capable of 30+ goals. I only see one guy with that capability
- sbroads24

I don't think we'll get that in free agency. It will have to come via trade.

I certainly wouldn't say no to that...
but lots of 20goal guys there
We should be able to roll 3 legit scoring lines

Our biggest needs imo are still a partner for Risto & maybe a goalie

- jdfitz77

Agreed on your last point. I like Lehner but not sure he'll stay healthy enough to be a #1. I like the kids in the system like Peterson and Johnasson is putting up some amazing numbers in that second tier Swedish league.

I'm undecided on Lehner
Need to see him stay healthy, and be consistent
I think he could be a #1...
but idk if he's a "franchise" goalie?

Murray is gonna have a decision to make after this year on him

IMO biggest needs are top 2 d-man, coach, and round out the bottom half of the roster. I'm also not sold on Murray being the gm to lead us to the promise land.

He's looked ok to me
I just wonder if we're wasting him on the 4th?
Might be better to have him getting top line minutes in Rochester

We could throw 'sick' money at Bishop.

I guess it depends on how the rest of your team is built
Right now, we need another top pair defenseman
If we can't get that,
Then maybe we do need a franchise type goalie

I think Murray stays but agree on all of your other points. The strength of a HC is to deal with adversity (injuries) and to date this season Bylsma fails the test.

I hope we don't end up being a team that has to rely on an elite goalie. I want to be able to put anyone in there and win.

I would prefer to see Nylander here. This team needs speed badly on the wings and he'll provide it. I would have grabbed Pajjarvi too.

If Lehner doesn't have a good season,
I would not be opposed to going after Bishop
What's he cost per season though...
Something around 6.5mil maybe?

That and I don't think he has the winning mindset. You can't win playing a slow defensive game. It's fast-paced possession hockey that wins

Well theoretically half the forwards being bottom 6ers is how it "should" be. But I get what you're saying.

No point in bringing up a guy who has speed if he isn't ready
Much more important to develop Nylander right
And the rest of the young guys too

Baptiste can fly, Catenacci & Bailey can really skate too

I'd rather have Catenacci over Deslauriers or Grant. I think we'd get better results with Nylander, Baptiste, Catenacci or even Paajarvi in the lineup

I don't necessarily disagree with that...
But if we don't put the right team of skaters out there,
Then an average goalie just isn't gonna cut it

And even on team she that are successful at switching out their goalies...
their ultimate playoff success usually is determined by how hot the goalie gets

I'd just really hope after the "suffering" we'd end up being a really good/maybe even great team. If we come out an "eh" team then the rebuild was a failure.

I literally just posted that I wanted Fasching or Larsson take his place
