Seriously though - I think it was a brilliant move to keep Freddie in the crease following the 7 goal game. He wasn't going to get his mind sorted out while watching from the bench.

Ekblad almost killed him late in the third last night cause of having his head down. Hopefully he learns to keep it up or he will get crushed.

Well you have to ride the guy. Goalies need to get into a habit and he only had a few starts, with a new team, no camp or anything. He'll be fine. Leafs just need a defense now.

He’s had some good stretches including times were he kept the team in the game and some huge saves.

Too many of the same type of goal though. Word gets around quick in this league. He needs to lock up the top of the net.
