Probably a trade coming, otherwise makes little sense.

Don't think so. He's looking for big payday and Rangers only have about $3 million in cap space. Ducks are more likely dance partner, otherwise lets hope the Leafs scoop him up for nothing.

no finish stopped him from being in the top 6
no defensive awareness stopped him from being in the bottom 6.

Glad we picked Kadri instead of him.

yeah looks like it. I stopped following his career after he was drafted, but I know there was a ton of hype. I was more inclined towards him compared to Kadri back then.

The two lines (Matthews and Marner) seem to be a nice balanced 1-2 punch. So what about the other two?

Personally, I'd like to see Griffith get bumped up with Kadri and Brown and pop Leo down with the grinders Smith and Martin. Just to see what happens.

Kadri should have some linemates that can score. I know he's playing the tough minutes, but it isn't like Brown is a slouch defensively, and Komarov needs to be removed from offensive situations I think. I love Leo, but I think last year was a fluke. He's a defensive grinder and should not be on the powerplay.

Amen. He was the Oilers first in a string of 7 straight years drafting in the top 10 (3 of them first overall). Holy poop.

He makes it top 10 picks in 11 of 12 years (2008 they took Eberle at #22)

Komarovs biggest proponent, Atomic Wedgie, will not be pleased to here you speaking ill of his abilities. I've never seen someone fawn over a player the way AW does Komarov.

Komarov was never supposed to be here when we got good. He was supposed to be our ticket to a few more d. Actually....i just got an idea, every team can use a komarov, maybe we can include him in a package for a d?

I wouldn't be surprised if he's shipped out at the deadline/off-season.

I was saying yesterday, even if it was a 1-for-1 hockey trade with a Dman at the exact same talent level as Komarov, it would be an upgrade on Marincin, Hunwick and Polak. (Maybe Corrado too, but Babcock will never let us find out)

We'll see. I for one liked the Weber trade for Montreal, but they are counting on winning now, while Price is in his prime. Not so sure they can contend - Radulov is only a couple of vodka parties away from being a major distraction like when he was dishonrably discharged from the NHL.

Can't understand how McIlrath - a 6'5" d-man with a cap hit of $800k was allowed to clear waivers - had to be an improvement on Hunwick and Polak, the kid was taken 10th overall and is only 24.
