They will, when Redmond will be back

Don't think they will burn one year of his contract because of that

curious if this was another game Montreal needed its goalie to steal since they were absolutely dominated by the Isles despite controlling nearly 60% of the shot attempts.

I only caught the end of the third last night, but from the highlights on gamecenter it looked like the Habs dominated... buddy of mine was saying the opposite, and particularly that Emelin had a horrible game, but I keep hearing/reading contradictory interpretations of the game. Weird.

End of the 3rd was super entertaining though.

Redmond's out for another 5 weeks I think... they'll probably call up somebody else. Barberio I guess.

Hey guys, thanks as always for the kind comments!

As for Sergachev, My take is that they want Barberio to get his game back up to snuff with the Ice Caps and then he'll be called up once Sergachev is sent back to junior.

The Habs totally dominated in the first 2 periods ... the game should have been over by then but the Isles goalie stood on his head.

The Isles played much better in the third and tied the score ... if it wasn't for their goalie, there's no way they should still have been in the game.

He'd be an improvement for the Leafs imo.

FYI guys - Barberio would not have to clear waivers once called up. The last CBA did away with re-entry waivers.

You don't have to clear any waivers when getting called up. Only when being sent down.

Yea, that's the impression I got from the highlights and most of the reading... hearing Habs started a bit slow in the first, but I didn't see anything suggesting the Isles were playing any better.

Other than the Tavares goal, how did Emelin look?

Alexei Emelin - He should stick to playing hockey and focusing on the play on the ice as his acting skills still need work. Regardless of the high stick, Emelin was killing a penalty and needed to worry about his opponents getting to the loose puck and not trying to sell a penalty. The goal gave the Islanders momentum and got them back into the game.

I found that frustrating because the Isle guy who got whacked for that penalty sold it with a head snap as fake as Emelin, but it was called that time. But I guess when Chris Lee is officiating that is the kind if thing that happens ...

Plekanec has done nothing so far so he deserves it but its absolutely unfair to call Emelin a flop. Yes he did miss the clearance attempt on the penalty kill but he actually had a very strong game otherwise. You are a seriously harsh critic

I thought he played extremely well except for that gaffe on the penalty kill

He has played above and beyond expectations to start the season but it does not excuse him from being irresponsible in front of his own net. His embellishement directly caused the islanders goal.

no need, you play Pateryn and give only a few game in the meantime...unless redmond is supposed to be out for more than a month ?

1- He'll probably stick to how it ended and then make changes during the game, as you said.

2- Hm... no. It has to end sometime, no?

3- Yes. Gallagher gets hit by the puck and "scores".

4- No. He gets demoted. Lines will end:

Lekhonen-Galchenyuk-Radulov
Pacioretty-Desharnais-Gallagher
Byron-Plekanec-Shaw

5- 3-2 Habs in OT.

Bonus: And to throw my hat in on Sergachev, just send him back to juniors already, he needs to play!

Love your articles and your bold predictions. I was going to ask you for lottery numbers based on how well you were predicting until last night. While you went 2 for 5 last night, I am glad the Habs won. Keep up the great work.
