Tanev seen in a walking boot leaving the rink. Or so says Ben Kuzma's twitter.

Could be minor, maybe even just got the wind knocked out of him. I will say the way he skated around after didnt look like someone who's shoulder was hurting

I thought Jake looked pretty decent in the 3rd.

I remember reading he had 8:06 total ice time, 3 hits, 1 shot.
2 shifts in the first 10 minutes of the third, none in the last 10 minutes.

He didn't play much the whole game but the most in the 3rd.

This shows his shift by shift.

I seem to remember him having a good chance coming down the wing but I guess he didn't get a shot on net.

Nice try Captain Negative, your pessimism has blinded you from the facts! JV had TWO* shifts in the last 10 minutes!

I imagine we'll have quite a few injuries this year. Quite a few older players on the roster.

Absolutely claim Etem and send him to Utica as originally intended. If the injuries get real bad, he impresses down there, or we want to send JV down, he's a good call up option.

Seems to be a pattern we can't step away from since the Torts year. bout 6-8 starters out by every December-January. We don't have near enough depth here or in Utica to cover that.

Serious Question:

Would you consider doing a 1v1 trade with WPG. Tanev for Trouba.
The reason I bring it up is Trouba wants top line minutes, WPG wants a NHL regular D-man in return, Tanev gets to play with his brother, and it would have to be under the condition that Trouba signs for 5-5.5 per.

Thoughts?

We are lacking in offence so 51% of the poll wants Etem back? what?

Unless he's permanently in Utica, No thanks...

Plus the guy has just had his first child, he'll pull a Vrbata and disappear completely this year.

I would but highly doubt the Jets would do it straight up.

I wouldnt be for that, if we are trading Tanev it should be for an offensive dman or top 6 forward

Aren't you the one who stays up late on the East Coast to watch games just to "send zingers" about the Canucks

I think I would take that chance on the condition that they do a sign and trade. Get the extra term and keep the cap hit low. I dont like that the current market would dictate a 1 for 1, but I have thought previously that by the time the Canucks are seriously contending Tanev will not be top pairing. And if Gudbranson is being pegged as your playoff shutdown guy of the future, then Tanev would be redundant.
