He gets lost pretty easily out there. His hockey IQ is lowwwwwww, been a knock on him since draft day. If it was so easy, he probably be on it right now. His ice time totals are low because despite being one of the faster and bigger bodies on the team, he can't do it. Hell even Etem did some PK work last year

I was gonna dispute the not retarded point.

I dunno if that has anything to do with it, he just isn't on either of those teams. Willie throws out usually a mix of the 3rd line after PP's and that would usually be Virtanen. Just comparing his total ice times to Granlund, Bo or whomever else is tainted because he doesn't do special teams, so he sits a lot in penalty filled games

EDIT: which I realize is kinda what you were saying, he misses shifts whenever penalties are called

Yeah that's kinda what I was getting at ...didn't want to write a novel tho ...

To be or not to be, that is the question. Wether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fanbase or to take arms against a sea of poor coaching

Actually its a percentage of the team's lines over all the even strength ice time played.

Sedins and Louie account for 20.78%
Sutter-Hansen-Granlund account for 18.96%
Burrows-Gaunce-Doreset account for 6.93% mostly because of consistency

I know I was just joking cause it was too easy.... but we got a small sample size and he's already off those lines

As I posted (in apparently a too long post for ADHD fans), Jake is a North/Player. At this point. That does not lend itself to PK. At this point he shouldn't be a PK player.

Listen to what Willess D wants from Bo. To be a defensive specialist? Have you seen this team? He's the best offensive center on the team, that includes Henrik!

Virtanen needs to be cultivated for what he is, not what you want him to be.

Yes, North/South is a style but not one thats going to be successful long term, it will make him one dimensional and predictable. North/South isn't good on Powerplays or penalty kills, which is what happens a lot in hockey. So send him to the AHL and have him learn to adapt his game where he can learn those things and have a variety of ways to beat an opponent

Is JV to Utica a north south style or east west?

Yes everyone here is hanging on to your insight.

Shunk ass , twat , and areshole. You do have a way around the lower regions but keep it going . Good job.

Dude, it's not your board. Grow up and realize we all have opinions and yours isn't really better than anyone else's. You're just another schlub like the rest of us, get over yourself.

I suspect the reason other people are noticing this interaction is that they are OK with you getting put in your place because you're a bit of a jerk.

How about you actually contribute instead of dictating and vilifying? Maybe you'd come off as less of an areshole.

This may be the most ill-informed post of the evening. "One dimensional" like Brett Hull? Like "Holmstrom"? Like a myriad of other players that were "one dimensional"?

A hockey team is a "TEAM", not a bunch of Steve Yzermans or Joe Sakics. For every all round player (BTW we have one named Bo Horvat) you have a TEAM of complementary players.

Not all players need to be utility knives.
