I think that's one of the things that pisses me off the most about this team. Despite where me will likely fall in the standings we're tight against the cap. Hopefully they don't spend it all this off-season.

Agreed this team should not be a cap team. In addition too many 1 way contracts. I get the need to compete with other teams for players but 1 way contracts have created what? Competition for bottom 3 jobs? I get it if the 1 ways create top 9 competition but that's not the case.

AHL stint included ... we keep missing the finer points over the black and white point drivers ... shades of grey are more relevant when it comes to the complicated JV situation

Room for improvement for sure ... but this team had holes and they wanted to be competitive through the rebuild so UFA salaries were high... plus some of those traded for RFA's
