Larsson has been abit overwhelmed at times, but he's getting more comfortable.
And I think he could get a lot better . And it's true he's a legitimate top 4 guy giving us a solid pairing.
But yeah, hall is truly elite. Straight up we lost that trade badly.
But building a better team and winning games is all that matters.
Plus- we don't free up the space for Lucic if we don't make the deal.
Larsson and Lucic > hall - HB77
Only a top 4 guy?
Hasn't he played top 2 minutes in NJ and excelled at it?
Isn't he also playing top 2 minutes with Klefbom and playing good/decent hockey as well?
C'mon man.
Don't get me wrong though. He has been a bit overwhelmed at times, but he is slowly starting to get more comfy with the system and that's starting to show within each passing game.
Hall is elite and he is showing it. Last I heard, he has about 5 points in 6 games and led NJ to victory last game.
But to say that we lost the trade badly, I think not. NJ might be/are the winners short term, but I think in the long term, the trade will balance out or we might actually be the winners (dependent on Severson as well). |

Once again showing your lack of knowledge and blind support to the Chiarelli regime. Severson has nothing to do with who won or lost the trade. Hall is a top 5 winger in the game Larrson is never going to be a top 5 D man. Now really there is a difference between a D man and winger with the D man being way more important than the winger. But let's say a Hall for Subban swap would have happened it would have checked off way for needs than the Larrson deal did. They only thing that Larrson has the edge on is his contract. Larrson was a top 2 dman on a bad team. Right now the Oilers are playing with two second pairs.

Severson's growth or lack thereof would/could expose NJ's lack of depth/hole in defense, so yes, this trade would be indirectly correlated with Severson and NJ's development as a team. I'm sorry, but isn't a trade supposed to strengthen the OVERALL TEAM? Isn't that why trades are made?
This isn't the 1980's or 1990's anymore back when trades are/were simply looked at and based on individual value (even then, trades were still made based on the overall team structure.... well, kind of). The fact that you and your followers still believe or even remotely rely on that notion only displays your own stupidity.
Top 2 dman on a bad team? Wow. If you're depending on that statement to make a point, you might as well state that OEL is a "top 2" on a bad team.
Sure, I would have loved to get Subban instead of Larsson. But that didn't happen, so suck it up. So far, the trade has looked good for BOTH sides. It is still too early to make any predicaments, so the only thing we can do is guestimate and project. |

so do we trade mcdavid if Edmonton lose and mcdavid does not have any points?
I think pittsburgh would do a trade like schultz and a 7th for mcdavid. |
