Except unlike those Flames our team is winning the scoring chance and high danger scoring chance battle rather handily (56% on the season iirc) and our Corsi isn't in the low-40s (around 48% iirc). PDO is running pretty high and Talbot is standing on his head so these aren't sustainable, but I don't foresee as substantial of a drop-off when that time comes. - MaximumBone
And we had a pretty bad start that year. |

I dunno, pretty sure that guy is old as (frank) and hardly understands how to use his computer let alone have any understanding of internet culture.
He is a James Tanner (frank)boy. That's all that really needs to be said about him. |

Can't help but feel there are seriously a few "Oiler fans" that are just waiting to pounce on a poor effort by Larsson or even the team to whip out the "I told you so".
Takes an extremely high level of self delusion IMO to call out the Larsson trade as anything but a solid team move BEFORE the season started let alone after the amazing start we have had. - Aerchon
As much as their are a few oiler fans so concerned whether it was a loss of a trade or not that they're willing pounce on everything positive he does. No matter how marginal
Player for player it's a loss.period. Maybe a pretty hugely lopsided one even. But if he continues to play like he did last night and we win games, who cares. He fills a need

I think it was slightly lopsided...but only marginally. Had the Devils thrown in a 2nd I would call her even. |

Yak + 2nd for Larsson would have been fair. |

McIlrath on waivers. Think the Oil may be interested? - RonPielep

I think pretty heavily.
Let's just assume for a second that larsson this far is all he's ever gonna be compared to what hall is now. That's a huge difference
But I obviously larsson is not only going to get better ANd more comfortable with his role in oiler silks, He also hasn't peaked in terms of his craft. That said- I think it could be pretty close.
But minus last game, larsson has been a marginal 2-3 guy. While hall is one of the top few players at his position in the world. Again- massive difference.
End of the day, of larsson continues to play like he did last night, I'm stoked regardless of the optics. Even if he doesn't, but just solidifies the position, im stoked. Still a big loss man for man though. I'm sorry that it hurts some people's feelings |

Pretty sure Larsson is worth more to Jersey than a 2nd and a steaming back of dog poop. |

Hell no.
Can you imagine dealing with all the (frank)ing media and arm chair GMs who question your every (frank)ing move? And God help you if you (frank) up or do something controversial. I'd have zero patience for that bullpoop.

I have a feeling one of Toronto, Edmonton or Vancouver will be making a claim.
Apparently after November 1st waiver privilege switches to the current season standings.
This means these teams might as well take advantage of their spot in the pecking order while they still have it.
Well I guess it won't really matter for the Leafs. |

Couldn't really hurt. Worse case you lose him on waivers again.
Best case he forces one of Fayne or Gryba out of the lineup. |

Then I would say grab him. Free uprade can't hurt. Put Fayne on waivers when he comes back too. |
