I mean not really. they are looking good but they are on fire. lets see how they do when they are in a slump. it is how a team handles slumps and how they play that deffines a good team. oilers (pc) will not shut critics up until they have won the stanley cup. Also how pc handles the contract extension with mcdavid will be deciding in how good a gm he might be. if mcdavid gets like 25 mil avv 7 years he might have gone overkill and destroyed the team (personally I think mcdavid will get like 12 or 13 mil avv)

I'm more interested to see how he handles Draisaitl. He'll likely have two 50 point seasons under his belt by the time they negotiate and he's young. Can't see him getting more than 6mil, but how much lower they can go will depend on Chiarelli. I'd love to see him take a discount at like 4.75 for 5 or 6 years, but that's unlikely.

Yeah I kinda figured Gryba was the comparable. Maybe he could develop to be a little better than Gryba, could eventually be a decent 3rd pairing option. But yeah, prob no need currently.
