Pretty funny to hear how the Habs developed Gylchenuk(sp) on the wing and at the end of last year switched him to his natural position of center and now this year he's the number 1 center.
Just amazing how a natural center can be eased into NHL responsibility by playing wing and gradually moved to center. Unless of course you can only play center like Barzal |

Yeah but your also comparing Cappy to an actual NHL coach, that's not necessarily a fair comparison |

Galchenyuk played center for the last 30 games last year....after they were almost eliminated with no chance to comeback with all the injuries, he was awesome. He still can't win a face off though |

I'll have you know BC is a state of the art entertainment/sport venue second to none and home of the NY Islanders. And to answer your question....yes |

Galchenyuk first made the team at 18 and the habs management felt that he wasn't ready to take an NHL centerman's responsibilties right away. |

Makes total sense to me.
However what if a player can only play center? Now I don't agree with this however this is the BS we are being sold on Barzal |

winger is easier than center, no way a center can't play wing |

In my mind, that makes no sense at all as it's usually easier to play on the wing than at center.

Barzal's assist to goals is over two to one so he is considered a playmaker vs Beau who was one to one. I think they want Barzal to center JHS and MDC someday. |

without a doubt. I'm dying for someone to ask Garth and Crappy why Barzal can only play center. It's almost laughable for a NHL GM cough cough and Coach again coughing, to say that. |

Shannon with her most insight to date: "It's too bad they couldn't leave Beau with Strome and Quine where he had some success." ........ or something close to that. |

no idea but it's common at the tournament, too many great centers, some have to play wing. |

I think like JT he lead his jr team as a top line center so I can't disagree with keeping him at center. I think Beau's jr experience was different. |
