Who here wants to bet the Red Wings make the playoffs.......
- kindlyrick

still a long season, I could care less about Red Wings. Im more worried about Our Isles losing games.

with Prince having good game, Barzals fate is sealed. Back to juniors. Cant say I don't disagree, he really didn't make the best of his chances.

Barzal has NEVER had a chance to play with linemates consistently. Yeah, he didnt look great last night, but I attribute a lot of that on him not being given a chance to develope chemistry. Add to that the fact that he's 19, and been in the press box, so he's basically being set up to fail.

I agree but he not going to every have that with Cappy. He needs to prove he can produce so he can play. Right now Quine, Prince and Beauvillier have just been better.

Barzal getting away from Cappy will only help his game and he will be ready for the new coach next year.

Right on. This team just looks like they dont care. They have moments that they look unstoppable then they stop playing same Islander team same results

Players get tired of hearing the same voice after a while. It's long overdue for a change.

It feels he did. He was long over due to be honest. I think the players who have been here seen a new owner take over and probably expect somethign to happen. Sometimes it is good to change coaches regardless cause players get to comfortable and dont play all out. I feel this is what happened here. I mean their first periods have been atrocious and it is up tot he goalies to stand on their heads. Second periods and half the third have been their best but then they just relax after that. Coach really needs to get the team going from the second the puck is dropped to when the las second ticks off. If not then he need sto sit these players and teach them a lesson. There are plenty of players out there who would love to get a chance in the NHL so there needs to be some accountability on the part of the players and coaches

I agree. Players have to really see Cappy as lame duck at this point. Ledecky and Malkin have been around for two years even if they were not in full control. Hopefully something happens soon.

Well snow contacted it out to the lowest bidder and then he hired cappy and he didn't know how to put it together right so the defense of earth was bound to fail especially when Cappys previous experience was building a desk from lkea

I just hope it wont be to late when they decide to finally do something. I thought now was a perfect time since they dont play until Sunday but whatever.

We were all so happy when they took over the team but they have yet to do anything to think things have changed. This is NEw York and we expect results quick

Have to hope Ledecky does not wait for the wheels to fall off being making a move. Not a good way to start the first year of ownership.

On a side note it has been more peaceful in here since others (not mentioning names) have moved on to be Ranger fans. Just my observation
