??? Game 1 of last season? Yeah, but at the time, there was no way to know whether he would be playing well or not. You can be sure that the other GMs saw the drop-off in his play when he first returned from the injury. If you recall, the drop-off was so big, that he was moved off the top line.

Man we're splitting hairs here.......you are missing the point. You don't let multiple core guys walk for nothing. You add to it. They had a good team last year.....they turned the corner.....and then its like one step forward, two steps back.

Im not looking to argue Okposo's phucking eye chart results on October 19th 2015.....im saying as GM, you have to manage your assets.

Agreed.....but, when you say it, its ok. When I say it, its me being negative. Proofs in the pudding my friend.

Look, I consider you to be a knowledgeable hockey fan. We all would like to see changes in the Isles' organization. But that doesn't mean everything that goes wrong is Snow's fault. Or even Cappy's.

This is where we disagree......I dont love Capuano, but he deals the hand he was given. IT IS, the GMs team.....he drafts, he signs....its his team. Who else is to blame? To further my case, when you're ten years into your 5 year plan, and things are not going well......I think its safe to say that someone isnt doing there job properly.

You can't blame a dog for being a dog, but Snow was a back up goaltender given the GM job. He was never the right guy......but, cmon man. After all this time, and seeing this team step back this year, its no one elses fault. He's in over his head, and its shows...

I don't love Capuano OR Snow. I would like to see the Islanders replace them BOTH. That doesn't mean you blame them for things they cannot control.

What do you mean? When a team sh!ts the bed, do you see the players get fired, or is the coach/GM given the boot?

Who else is at fault if not the guy who's put paint to canvas?

I have no idea how you are missing my point. I am holding them responsible for basically the same things you are. I was just using the Okposo eye injury situation to point out that you are wrong if you think that Snow could have gotten decent value in a trade the summer before he walked.

And I think you're missing my point......either way, you are agreeing with me about the fact that the team is mismanaged, but you'll argue the date of Okposo being moved. Whatever man. You dont think a GM and an agent have preliminary discussions on ball park figures? You dont think a GM knows what he wants to spend on a specific guy? At some point well before KO was up for UFA they had to know they didnt wanna spend what he would be asking. After all he had 3 seasons with JT racking up the pts.

Add Frans Nielson to this list as well....

I think I agree? Look, GMs, even the smart ones, sometimes have no choice but to allow players to walk in free agency. Chicago has a good GM, but he has lost some good players (like Buff and others). It happens.

Just to change the subject... what happens if Nielsen re-signed? I guess Snow would have been forced to put Grabo on LTIR. Would that have provided them sufficient cap relief? I don't know the answer.

The point here is that for a GM who's not done anything in his tenure, these mishaps are not acceptable.
