It's a moot point. Babcock would never have agreed to coach the Islanders.

I don't think he's the most respected GM in the NHL, that's for sure. I also don't think he's the worst either. But it's a tough job to prove your mettle, and Snow really hasn't done that yet...

Its just the way he came into the job. One day he's got a stall in the lockeroom, and the next he's got a desk and chair as GM. Its pretty comical.

1. A team from the Original Six in the center of hockey mania where no other sport even comes close in fan interest.

or

2. A team that is moving into a facility designed for basketball, in a city where hockey is at best the 4th most important sport, and there's already another team from the Original Six with long roots in the city.

Is this even debatable???
