It was a good blog Cpt. Amazing what can be done when the focus is not on saving Garth and Cappy's job.

Rangers waive mcllrath

Wouldnt mind picking him up with pulock out. Would add toughness and keep thr front of our net clear. Not picking on the size of our Dmen

Well I think the entire league knows that Capuano will be the first to go. But, that wont really change much. The entire organization needs an overhaul. We wont see that till after the season.

Ok first of all i was talking about firing the coaching stafff not being the only answer....second of all if you think picking up Dylan Phucking McIlrath is a viable option for this team than i have literally nothing to say back to you.

I responded to the first part, and happened to see your McIlrath post. I have nothing further to add on McIlrath.......he's the worst first round draft pick the Rangers have made since Pavel Brendl and Hugh Jessiman, and yet you're suggesting scooping him off waivers. I mean, Brian Straits lookin for work......why not snag him too?

And yet, I don't blame the Rags for taking a shot at him back in 2010. Potential high reward if he turned into a capable d-man. You can't coach size, and it's not easy to instill toughness. Who knew that fighting would diminish in the NHL to the extent it has?

He's literally been the biggest problem with the first line from day one. I'll give him a few more games but come on, if this was Kyle people would be calling for his head about now.

I watched that draft and when the Rags picked him......my friends and i were like WTF??? He's at best a 3rd rounder......i mean he's basically Eric Cairns, and went in the first round.

Yeah, but Kyle had a 7 year tryout, not a 7 game tryout.

If Kyle scored in every game people would be calling for his head. Tell you one thing they aren't in Buffalo.

No one skates as bad as Eric Cairns. The guy didn't know how to skate backwards.

Better than Richard Park??? Look, I didn't hate Okposo, but I don't think he was worth $6 MM per season. I'm just saying Ladd deserves more time to adjust to Cappy's {ahem} style of play.

Actually he was projected to go late 1st round by almost everyone. The problem was the Rangers picked him with the 10th pick.

Still scratching my head about that one. What's he going to teach anyone? How to drop the gloves? It was the only thing he was good at.

As I said above, not the worst pick at the time, considering the NHL was still a fighting league back in 2010. But times change. It's why the Isles felt ok with letting Matt Martin walk.
