Yes simple. The guys getting hired at 6 figures by NHL teams to get a leg up on this stuff are very simple people.

I wonder how Florida is doing since they have removed there Bogosian types in Kulikov and Gudbranson, and added puck movers in Yandle, Demers, and Pysyk. They surely don't have a winning record.... do they?

Also, can you provide any proof of where or how any of my "evaluations" have been off? I've asked a few times and haven't gotten a response.

Brayden McNabb is off to a nice start by the way. You nailed that one

- sbroads24

I think you need to learn cause and affect better. I'm sure if Kulikov wasn't an UFA next year they would have been reluctant to trade him for Pysyk and swapping 2nds. Kulikov is a better D than Pysyk and makes the Sabres D better, he moves the puck as well, passes well and is physical. Yandle is a basically a PP specialist and who can move a puck but not a much else:

Beyond that, Yandle, whose power-play ability was a prime factor in his attractiveness to the Rangers, does not play on the team’s first unit, instead getting the leftover, 30-40 seconds of New York man-advantages.

This, too: The Rangers will not use Yandle to kill penalties. Indeed, Brady Skjei picked up more penalty-kill time (4:21) in two games on the roster than Yandle has all season (2:06).

Does this sound like the résumé of a player the Rangers are preparing to sign for what will be a market value $5.5 million to $6 million per for five or six years?

If general manager Jeff Gorton were serious about keeping the 29-year-old defenseman off the market, wouldn’t you expect the Rangers to increase Yandle’s ice time and responsibilities, especially since the only realistic way to clear out enough space would be to get second-pair lefty Marc Staal’s permission to move him and his $5.7 million per contract that runs through 2020-21?

Wouldn’t you want to determine if the Yandy Man can handle second-pair matchups and increased ice time that he would inherit upon a Staal trade?

If you were going to commit $30 million to $35 million to Yandle, wouldn’t you give him additional power-play time?

http://nypost.com/2016/01...-pressing-rangers-issues/

You overrate him substantially because he gets points on the PP but do you watch him play much? He is bad in his own end and is 30 yrs old who signed a 7 year big contract. I already posted from LA insiders regardin Mcnabb who said he played horribly in the playoffs, a lot of last year and was a 5-6 D. Great, he has started out well in a few games, good for him. I wonder if we had the net back in 82 if there would be as much reminiscing about Jim Schoenfeld being traded to the Red Wings as you do about Brayden McNabb. As I stated Xbox is not reality.

HP, only a few years old. I was trying to move the photos from my ipod onto my laptop, but it wasn't loading so I tried closing out the other programs, but I accidentally canceled the photo transfer too and it stopped responding completely. So I powered it down, started with no issue, and tried it again this time same thing, wouldn't progress at all. So I powered down again and tried restarting only this time it says "hard disk error, please run hard disk test in system diagnostics".

I did that, it said it passed but then it just took me back to the "hard disk error" screen with the same options. So I did the hard disk test again only this time it says "not installed"

ennis, franson, grant, gionta, kulikov

those were your leaders in pp time tuesday

all had over 3 minutes of pp time

- homiedclown

If Eichel & Kane weren't hurt,
That 2nd unit would look a lot better

And next year Nylander will certainly be on one of the PP units
Possibly Bailey & Fasching seeing some time as well

If Moulson keeps this up, he might actually be tradable!

Maybe not, it could be a dying HDD. I just went through that a few months ago, everything ground to a halt and I started trying to backup what I could but a lot of the files were corrupted due to the failure, and eventually my login info got corrupted and wouldn't even let me login as a guest, so I was essentially locked out of my computer until I did a reformat. Thankfully my computer has an SSD as well as a HDD. Granted my computer is only running on 120 GB of storage instead of the 3 TB and 120 GB like I used to have before the HDD failed which really sucks. I have like nothing on my computer and I already have 118 GB filled, I need to make space somehow because Macs don't like having less than 50% capacity.

No, you under rate him (Yandle) because he scores PP points and doesn't hit people.

What people are realizing, and have been for years, is that the skill set of passing the puck quickly out of the zone, skating, and offense, have proven to have a much bigger effect on winning than the traditional ways people measure D men.

If Zach Bogosian was great at outlet passes like you say (he's not), we would have possession of the puck more when he's on the ice (we dont)

Vesey 2 pts....McD 2 pts...

Eichel??? Reinhart???

McD and Matthews leading the LEAGUE in scoring..
Our 2 busts?? 0g.

Joel Armia has more goals than the two guys I "suffered for" have COMBINED. Joel.....Armia

But hey....we are only three...errr....4....errrr....5....errr....20 games in"

I'm sure we are going to go on a run any day...

Has anyone threw flipped a coin yet to see if the franchise goalie feels like playing tonight?

Murray needs to go TODAY

2 years ago we had 100 picks and at WORST drafting second...

today.....picks gone...draft slot gone...and NOT ONE player..NOT ONE PLAYER is helping us win. 100 draft picks and TWO #2 over all picks and we are STILL in last place.

but hey....its only 5 games in...

"Gionta dumps it in.....Foligno gives chase.."

Even that has been Jennereat cant make this team interesting

Know what I do when I'm such a miserable SOB about something? I cut it out of my life. Apparently this place is full of people who like to keep themselves miserable.

How...fulfilling.

I know youre talking about me.

Theres a big difference between being miserable about something in your personal life and hating how your sports teams are being run.

You don't think this franchise DESERVES some honesty like I'm giving???

nothing I'm saying is unfactual. NO PERSONAL ATACKS

Right! Isn't there a line that you cross where you're no longer a fan? At that point one might be tempted to simply root for a different team.

I bet theres still people here that think Reinhart is the better player.

But the 3rd we wasted on Vesey was a good move. The other 3rd rounders we did use are filling the net for us

Yesterday a poster said Eichel is the better player than Matthews.

its comical to read

Nah, just piss and moan forever, then when the team is doing well, it's either "Reverse psychology worked!!", "I knew they'd turn it around, it just took tough love!", or just silence.

It's entertainment - if you're not entertained, it's pretty easy to avoid - but soooo much more fulfilling to spout about it online than control your life and avoid it.

That's not to say criticism is never warranted, but such extremes just registers with me as showmanship/pent up need to bloviate.

With that said, I'm off to my kids' 1st quarter "Awards Ceremonies" as the beginning of my escape from this muck I need to cleanse off myself after reading things here recently. Have a good weekend all.....enjoy??

When has that happened???

Just throwing this out there..

since we have only won one game this year...(on pace for 16 wins this season) ...how long should we be willing to wait before people start losing their jobs?

Ive been listening to Hockey Central at noon from The Fan on demand.

its so disheartening listening to a fanbase/media/organization talking with pride and excitement and HOPE.....their team tanked one year..ONE...and now..electricity is back.

Buffalo?? Four year tank....still in last...and not one...NOT ONE asset from all that losing helping the team. Three years later we are exactly where we were.

I never thought Id say this..I actually MISS the Pomminville/Vanek/Miller years. At least there was a CHANCE
