Oh yeah. Everything that's happened since then doesn't matter anymore. I'd vote him into the hall of fame. |

I get that - just thought it made us seem like sore losers. Like we were entitled to him. - 1979AD
IMO, losing in sports is supposed to make you sore. You're with us or you're against us.
(frank) you Steven ...(frank) you!
I grew up in a soccer environment so maybe I'm influenced by the un-polite traditions of soccer fans.
I'd probably have made the same decision he did but that doesn't change that I'm a fan of the Leafs and therefore feel obligated to strike him from my Christmas list and perhaps key his jet. |

His GAA in those 4 games is 5.50. None of those flops can match those numbers.
He's got the yips right now ...he'll work through it.
Did Chuck Knoblauch ever remember how to throw to first base? - The Law
No, he didn't actually. You could have picked a better 'yips' example!
Jon Lester still refuses to throw to bases. |

We lost in business, not in sports. Well then we lost in sports, but the boos started before the losing. |

On so many of the goals.. the wingers had boners for the other team and got lost in their eyes...

And poop, it could be worse.
I dropped a couple of hundred last season to go and watch them in San Jose. They also gave up 7 but didn't have the good graces to (frank)ing score a few to soften the loss! |

Fans know the business side now and it's all fair game.
Listened to McCown last night who's been all over the SS decision. He said many more $$$$ on the table for SS in Toronto. He had "legacy contracts" in front of him from the big MLSE sponsors guaranteeing him pay days well beyond retirement. He said the biggest part of the equation for SS was that his GF is tied to Florida.
Stupid Leafs should have brought hookers to the meeting not Cdn Tire reps. |

After thinking about it.. In a way, it's Babcocks fault... he should either scratch Hunwick/Polak *OR* tell them to not go out of position and stay NEAR THE CREASE AND COVER..
edit: if they keep doing the same mistake game after game... 1) player isn't competent enough or 2) coach hasn't mentioned this major flaw

Leafs held Tampa to 24 shots - Tampa is averaging 30.2 a game this year - talk about defense all you want, at a certain point goalie has to get in the way of the puck instead of flopping around like a fish.

I wasn't talking about the goaltending.. and i agree, it was poop.
I was talking about the defensive coverage.
Yeah 24 shots, but 14 of them were high grade shots. The number of shots don't matter, its the quality of them. I'd have no problem giving up 40 a night if it meant 1 from the slot and 39 from the outside. |

Positive:
Matthews on pace for 136 points = 1.66 PPG
Nylander on pace for 123 points = 1.5 PPG
Negative:
Andersen on pace to let in 314 goals = 3.8 goals per game.
Seems pretty reasonable to me. - JSC
