I second this. I liked the trade in the beginning too. Looks like the Panthers are the clear winner there. Was nice shedding Savard's contract for convenience, but we got a lesser player back for sure.

Didn't care for the trade at the time, but I understood it. Smith had a good first season with the B's but kind of floated through his second season. Maybe it was the change of scenery that did him well, but I thought he was a pretty good fit with Marchand and Bergeron, or Krejci and Pastrnak. Would have liked to see the Bruins hold onto him... especially after seeing Hayes play.

After last night Hayes has to sit... no?

More like CJ will try to put him with Marchy and Bergy and move Pasta to play with Krej. Can see that happening.

If Pasta does get suspended, then Hayes will have to stay in. But Hayes literally does nothing right. I have no reason for bias, and was initially happy with the trade. Last season, he sucked. This season, abysmal.

In other news, Kyle Connor has done nothing and has been a healthy scratch. (and only has one point this season) I know it may not mean much, but to everyone who complained about passing him up, to take Debrusk/Senyshyn, I still stand by Sweeney's choices.

Girardi thought he was catching the puck, and then leaning down to put it on the ice. The fact that they said he didn't change the position of his body or head simultaneous with the hit is just absolutely ridiculous.
