He's a pretty poop professional if random fans posting on the internet or calling into radio shows cause him to play poorly lol.

that's not fair. To think that there shouldn't be any consideration given when moving from a market like Anaheim to Toronto is unreasonable.

Random observation.

Nylander is significantly stronger on the puck this year. That was my main issue with him last year and I didn't feel like he was NHL ready at the time as a result. What a huge difference, I guess he didn't leave the gym all summer. He's really damn good, it's crazy.

Alex Nylander looking great in the AHL too. Michael did a good job raising them.

He might, it might reasonably take him more than 6 games to do it though

It'd be a good way of weeding out the mentally weak then. Good. Would hate to find out they can't handle the pressure in game 7 OT, better to find out now I guess.

For all the flak about Andersen's start, whether warranted or not, I just noticed while watching the game recap that Bishop is brandishing a 3.51/.885 stat line to start the season. (.860 going into last night)

I'm more pessimistic about this season but I don't think it's time to jump on Andersen yet considering the above and the fact that Al (frank)ing Montoya is the current goaltending front-runner.

Understood. I'm not necessarily talking about his level of play

More so his level of influence from outside sources (ie. fans)

But one thing I noticed. It seems like the Leafs have asked him to play a certain way. The Sportsnet guys mentioned it last night and, when asked about it, Andersen said he didn't want to get into it.

My question is why they would trade for a guy, pay him like a #1, and then tell him to play differently than the way that made him successful to begin with

Meh, I think that's looking too far ahead at this point in time. Every player gets into ruts.

That's a discussion that could be had with more information at the 30-40 game mark.

Some are saying he's more skilled than Willy. That would be impressive.
