Of course. And the fork goes into our food. True story - happened on the street here in NY before we had kids, so at least 10+ years ago:

Me: I want a hot dog.
Wife: Me too.
Me to vendor: Can I have two hot dogs pls?
Wife: Just get one, we will share. I don't want a whole one.
Me: Of course you don't. But I do. Two hot dogs please!!
