That's pretty hilarious. But it won't be worth explaining all night. Once I went as Glen Frey and everyone thought I was Blake Shelton, it was annoying.

I love the Eagles but I'm not sure I'd ever go dressed as one

By the end of the night I may look a lot like Joe Walsh after one of those parties he attended until 4.

Great music today. Big fan of all three bands.

That's because you have great taste.

Listen, I don't much care for the Foo Fighters either. Don't understand the appeal at all. But I would never speak ill of Dave Grohl.

From the blog:

"With the team seemingly stuck in no-man's land between being too bad to draft first (a huge mistake, as Auston Matthews will haunt them forever) and not good enough to actual win anything, it was easy to revel in their misery last year."

Wholeheartedly agree with this statement (although I think you meant too good to draft first).

Matthews in AZ just wasn't meant to be, I guess. The year before, the Coyotes drafted 3rd, but Matthews birthday fell 2 days after the deadline to be draft eligible (also assuming that McDavid and Eichel were still taken 1&2 if Matthews were in the same draft).

And then last year, again as you pointed out, overachieved in a season that finishing last (which was very attainable) would have been best case scenario.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a travesty. Full props for being Nirvana's drummer and even for the first two all-rightish (if I'm drunk) Foo Fighters records.

But Grohl is annoying and his band is terrible. Anyone who owns more than 40 CDs or Records knows it too.

- James_Tanner

But what if their collection is fully comprised of Green Day, Nickelback, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Bieber albums?

I think I hate Green Day like you hate the Foo Fighters. I don't get it, they're not good.

After watching Matthews play, I can't believe that Buffalo would have chosen Eichel over him.

Can't believe Chychrun fell that far, looks really good. Scouts may have made a mistake there. Him and Juolevi will be the cream of the defensive crop for 2016.

True. But we are kind of looking at it through today's eyes. Back in 2015, I still think Matthews would have slipped to 3.

On a personal level, this doesn't offend me and I even understand why you'd say it.

But if you'll allow me to be pretentious for a second, it does somewhat offend me on both human and aesthetic levels bc writing off valid criticisms as if only someone trying to be different on purpose can have a dissenting view is, I think a dangerous thing that the Internet has normalized.

Me, i don't know hardly any new bands, and I love all music and can honestly say that a band's popularity has absolutely zero effect on what I think of them.

Meh...music is pretty subjective and appeals to people for different reasons. Some musician types like music that is challenging to play, some for the way it makes them feel, some get a touch of nostalgia because it reminds them of a certain time..I dunno. I dont usually go for the formulaic hits myself...unless its the right formula. Point is, just because I dont like something, doesnt mean it sucks, because alot of people do like it, and just because you dont like it, doesnt necessarily mean it sucks . Some music does suck some serious balls tho and its unbelievable that anyone likes it, but to each their own.

My point is, like what you like, for your own reasons, but dont be a Music Nazi who thinks his opinions or taste is the correct one and differing opinions or tastes are wrong. That just makes you a knob.

I get accused of this all the time. I don't seek out new music to impress anyone or to try to ruffle feathers so I can be the zig to anyone's zag. Whether it's a newer indie band, a long forgotten 60s psych garage freak beat band or 80s post punk gem it's purely a labour of love for the craft.

Art should bring something new to the table; a unique perspective from an artist should be vibrant and refreshing to the observer, in this case listener. Too often most of our musicians are simply entertainers or get caught up trying to either shock their way (without decent music to accompany) or copy what's already been done over and over simply to sustain a career and to try something new is too much of a risk so their sound becomes unoriginal and brings nothing new to the table. It's like eating spaghetti every day of your life and being too afraid to try a home made burrito, and never listening to what the full spectrum that music has to offer by solely listening to bland bands like these makes choosing between Foos, GreenDay and Nickelback and the majority of what mainstream alternative radio has shoved on everyone's plate is like deciding whether I'll have the store bought Catelli noodles with the Hunts thick and rich or the Primo with the Ragu and never stopping to try the rich flavours of other types of food. Shawarma, butter chicken, pad Thai... There's so much incredible music out there from the last 50 years and most goes completely unnoticed or buried behind whoever has the best marketing and can create the most fanfare.

Don't hate on the Foo Fighters. I'm not the biggest fan, but I would fight you. Dave Grohl = Legend
- PapaSquat

Why Because of Scream or Nirvana? Or because of his arena rock band? (frank) Dave Grohl.

Chychrun is the steal of the draft considering the rank he was drafted.

I still don't get how this "obvious top 5 pick" dropped so much...

- Scabeh

Everyone started getting the idea that he was only 2nd pairing. The Yotes really had the draft I wish the Devils had, at least in the first round.

the Rangers were playing a rested Coyote team after beating the Capitals in Washington the night before in a pretty exhausting win.

I think the Coyote can start looking at mock 2017 drafts right now

Love how Tanner skipped right over this and the Girardi post but responded to every other post

Well part of it is accepting when they (frank) up. Mick Jagger is a legend but he also made music with Will.i.am.

McDonaghs gonna contend for the Norris this year if he continues playing at the level he has been so far. Never seen him better and he's doing so on a team that will challenge for the Cup.
