It's a tough one....but I guess that is what makes it a possible one for one. I wish that we could flip Gardiner and a prospect for a righty like Trouba and shore up a complete top 4 defensive pairing, in the right age bracket. Kapanen makes sense, when you think Laine, as part of a Winnipeg trade. Laine and Kapanen were together on the World Junior team that won Gold. Too bad that Kapanen and Gardiner wouldn't get that equation done, for Trouba.

He impressed me in the pre season. He will never be a guy who will score a lot.
He is a very big player who has improved a lot on his skating. He will be a NHL regular one day. A guy you can trust on the PK. And shutdown a player. Nothing more |
