as a Jets fan, how does JVR help our rebuilding team better than yours? we have as many elite forward prospects as the Leafs and as many B rated D prospects as the Leafs so trading Trouba for 2 probable non playoff or at least non cup contending years of JVR plus a possible #5-8 D and a 2nd makes zero sense. Let Trouba sit until he decides to come back or we can work out a propper trade.

side note. Would you guys trade Morgan (looks like Kessel's little brother ) Riely for that deal? or for some of the deals your making for Lindholm? absolutely not.

No 3-way deal, they are super rare for a reason.

I would prefer Trouba over Fowler, more upside, a bit younger, but not by much.

I think Anaheim is a solid trade partner for us and I think the cap crunch they're under plus having their own "Trouba" to sign in Lindholm, really amps the urgency over there.

Still, I think we're weeks away, probably mid-November/December before players and teams start getting desperate.

We are in the same boat as you guys, 2-3 years away from probably making serious noise in the NHL so taking Fowler who is a UFA in less than 2 years doesnt make alot of sense, especially when we own Trouba's rights for the next 4 years.

Toronto doesn't need to make a trade like this. They aren't feeling the pressure to win. That package has more value than a unproven commodity.

What's the deal with Trouba, honestly? Is it just a question of ice-time? I look at your top 4, and I think, "yeah, Buf is top cheese for sure, but Trouba and Meyers have been pretty damn even for ice-time at around 22 mins... Rielly's doing that and isn't complaining, and he's barely getting any PP time".
