Insidepittsburghsports is reporting trade talks between the Kings-Pens regarding Fleury. They claim ownership is 100 percent opposed to moving him... Any truth to this? - Brianandr1
He has the same "rumor" accuracy as Ek. Maybe even worse. |

Ill admit it. What Jagr has done hockey wise is impressive, beyond that he has always seemed like a douche to me. |

It's not about not loving jags... it's about forgiving him. If people didn't love him they wouldn't care to boooo. Time heals all wounds. I'm sure it will be the same for st Louise in Tampa |

What did jagr do that was really that bad. Little odd I guess. Cared about money and signed a big contract. |

the reason he didn't come back to pittsburgh was cuz of playtime. he was not promised the play time he wanted. also if you are talking why he left to begin with it was cuz he realised it was better for the team to leave cuz of the slight strain he put on the pens already depleted economy |

apperantly only thing jagr said is that he choose to not play in pittsburgh again cuz he wouldn't get the playtime he thought he deservd and could still play at. |

For Pitts I think it was money at the time
But since he left to go to russia, he always seems to flip-flop a lot. Almost signed with edm and then didn't. (It was funny I think he said edm would be his first choice if he ever came back to the nhl, and we saw how that turned out) And then seemed to not stay with a team for more than two years (cept this year). lol seems like his goal was to play for the whole league, bouncing around |

He publicaly said when the team was struggling he would leave Europe and come to play for the Pens for league minimum. He said he would do that to help the team and especially Mario. He then played it for the most money he could get and went to Philly our arch rivals. He is a good player but to us he is a hockey whore for sale. |

My understanding is that the issue was when he reentered the league, he told Shero that he only wanted to play for the Pens. At the start of free agency, Shero held off making any big moves because he thought he would land Jagr. Then Jagr signed with the Flyers (I think in the late afternoon/evening of the first day) and at that point Shero had missed out on any early free agency moves, thus potentially hurting the team.
If Jagr had simply told Shero that he would sign with the highest bidder and didn't care about what team the Pens would have no issues with him. I certainly wouldn't.
Jagr is easily among the three greatest Pens players of all time and one of the greatest hockey players of all time. He holds some Pens records that Crosby and Malkin may never catch and he likely will have a longer career than Crosby. He is an immediate first ballot Hall of Fame entry. He probably even has another year or two left (I could see him being Las Vegas' first captain - that is definitely his kind of place ).
However, his actions upon reentering the league should prevent his jersey from being retired in Pittsburgh, in my opinion. Not because he signed for the most money but rather causing Shero to hold out like that. |

To my knowledge it was Jagr who was spurned by Shero and not the other way around because Shero told Jagr he would not give him money until Tyler Kennedy got his pay day. If I was Jagr I'd give the Pens the middle finger too if the GM was prioritizing Tyler freaking Kennedy over me |

I was just going to write the same thing. Shero prioritized TK....which is funny and sad. There were plenty of reports saying Shero wasn't very enthusiastic about the idea and he was doing it in deference to Mario.
Shero basically gave him a take or leave it offer. When you do that, don't be surprised if the player goes another direction. |

Game time decision. He's playing unless he has a setback I would guess. |
