No, they wouldn't. But let's go back to 2008-2009. They did start 4-0, and ended up missing the playoffs. October records mean next to nothing, especially when the season starts as late as it did this year.

Well, giving where Reinhart is in his development there's not much more we can do but give him more time to grow. 2014 draft class appears that it wasn't the strongest for offensive players, but we did have our choice in them. Looking back, who would you rather have on this team in replacement of Reinhart? Leon, Bennett? The only other player in that draft class that I would have liked to see us draft would have been Leon, but his success so far I'm sure has been helped by the offensive players he's been surrounded by in Edmonton.

Of course not don't ask dumb ass questions. If you want to have a convo about the 'state of the Sabres' bring it logically. They could be 5-4-1 after 10 games. If they go on a 5 game losing streak I'll understand the concern. Not now. It's October. No reason for panic.

The "rebuild" is done. We have no goalie. We have no second line. We have only ONE NHL quality defenseman. While Matthews, Laine, McDavid, Gudreau, Nylander, Marner, Gothibiere, are all lighting it up...we have TWO #2 overalls that have done NOTHING.

and ...we are in LAST PLACE AGAIN. .EIGHT POINTS out of first.
