Listen, it's not like I disagree with him on the issues he bloviates about. But the guy is a science educator with a bachelor's degree. When he was a TV show host with a show for kids as a science educator, he was fun and it was entertaining. But now he parades around as some sort of actual scientific "expert" on every.....single....issue. It's eye roll worthy.

He strikes me as an affable entertainer with a scientific background, who reads a book on a topic and talks long-windedly like he's an expert in the field. Like I said, I'm on his side with these causes, but I hate the celebrity scientist messenger.

I don't think it's as bad of a trade as some make it out to be, and I also think the talk of Weber's decline, is comical. I just think from an age standpoint, and that personality which I still don't get, seemed to factor in for Montreal, made parts of the trade puzzling.

Weber has never relied on speed, he always in position, doesn't move much. The puck hits his stick and just as quickly it's gone, quick high percentage passes, doesn't skate with the puck.
He's the type of player that could be one of the best in the league for a very long time.

Webers first pass out of the zone is quick and accurate. Second pass hits a forward moving forward, next pass hits a forward going full speed while crossing the blue line.

Subban would carry the puck, going east to west, turning back sometimes all the way back around his net. By time he hit the blue line, forwards would be standing still. Subban would then dump it in and no one would get to it because they weren't moving forward. His skating was beautiful to watch as a fan and it gives him amazing possesion stats but it didn't produce goals.

It's sounds strange to say, but the team is faster because we added a slower player.also Weber is a tremendous leader, well respected and even feared. Subban...not so much.

Habs fans are for the most part really happy.
