I think ice time and usage determines which defense pairing in the first pairing, rather than what order the blogger covering the team, lists the defense pairings.

In my opinion, none of the 3 veteran defenseman on merit so far this season, have earned immunity from sitting out. Based on roles and usage, and what I think the coach will do, it would MacDonald.

Not sure when Laughton will be ready.
