Can someone check to see if Brayden Schenn is alive? It's been 3 games, he's healthy, and played all preseason. He looks horrendous so far. He looked fine in preseason. But he's just killing that line doing absolutely nothing: not carrying it in, not winning battles, not shooting, not passing, just coughing it up. If it was VDV at LW, I wouldn't notice the difference.

That line looked infinitely better all over the ice before Raffl got injured.

Your hate for Varsity is as ridiculous as 2Real and Mason. Quick tape to tape passing is a good thing in hockey. It's called a breakout. 30 NHL teams "coach" it.

I think Streit has been the worst. He's been awful. So many glaring errors in positioning, with the puck...I cringe when I see him out there anymore. Trouble is, MacDonald has arguably been just as bad.

There are still far better d men to take if you do the mock expansion drafts. If they do take him.....we will survive. He's been playing like a legit bottom pair guy, but he's still nothing special long-term. That means Laughton, Cousins, Read, etc. are still here anyway. If they take him, they take him. There's no one else to expose unless MacDonald is here half the season, and with Provorov, Gudas, MDZ, Ghost, Manning, and Streit, fitting him in won't be easy. Or good.

Personally, I could see them taking Weise or Neuvirth.

Hated the signing when I read it at a rest stop driving to Boston on July 1st. Hate it now.

He will improve certainly, but he looked the part of average bottom 6 guy having career year before the signing. He hasn't shown much else so far here. Even if he does improve, he is not better than Raffl and Read. Not by a longshot. That makes him now a 4th line forward signed for 3 more years. I'm hoping Vegas will take HIM. And with some inexpensive term, size, and grit for the West, maybe they do.

It's been a couple months since I did one, but the d pool actually seems a bit stronger than the forwards. That is if McPhee is smart, which is a strong uncertainty.

As seen from McPhee's eyes, names like Josh Manson, Jokipakka, TVR, Wiercioch, David Savard/Jack Johnson, Reinhart, Pysyk, Brodin, Emelin, de Haan, Kevin Klein, Paul Martin/Mirco Mueller, Gunnarsson, Garrison/Coby/Nesterov/Sustr/Koekkoek, Orlov. Obviously it depends on what forwards are available for each team too, but there's a decent pool.

We can't get MDZ and Gudas back fast enough (well Gudas tomorrow) But I have this feeling Streit will remain in the line up unfortunately. His positioning has been so bad, steady out of position. He has no speed, not they he did, but he lost a major step. He looks like he has no confidence with puck on his stick in every zone on the ice. Turnover machine lately. I agree , every time he is on the ice, I cringe and expect a screw up. He needs to sit.

That's false, both Schultz and MacDonald have both been better that Streit. Another example of a lack of objectivity and or bias.
