Thanks good info. I realize 60% is hardly feasible on an individual let alone team level; just using it in regards to adding 2 Pts over 82.....I guess deviation from League Avg. is the best metric to be looking at.

Would like to see some AA @ LW w/Schmaltz & Rasmussen getting time between 72 & 88. AA plain stinks at FO & shows little hope for improvement so his skills may be of more use elsewhere in the lineup.

He was 10\9 against the Leafs... And will hover probably around 47% over the course of the season which isn't great but isn't abhorrent. There is a lot more to playing that position than winning draws and he does a lot of exceptional things off the puck and has proven to have a nice set of hands in tight around the net. Compliments the lil guys he plays with very well.

A-flipping-men to this:

https://blackhawksbreakdo.../24/my-take-on-the-lines/

When analyzing lines on this years team, I don’t look at three players forming one line. I instead look at two players forming a line and then adding a complementary rookie forward. In the past, Chicago had so much forward talent and depth that forming lines was easy. There was second line talent playing in the bottom-6 solely based on depth. This years team does not have that luxury. With depth scoring being a huge part of successful hockey teams, (think Sharp – Vermette – Teravainen line and the HBK Penguins line last season) Chicago needs to find a way to balance out their lines.

To balance the lines, I pick two players that mesh well for each of the top-3 lines.

Toews – Kane
Anisimov – Panarin
Kruger – Hossa
Now, I will add a complementary rookie forward to each and discuss the lines I picked.

No. Neither Hutchinson nor Hellebuck has shown they can be an NHL goalie. Without Kruger the team has only one legitimate faceoff centre (Toews). Trouba has upside, but you'd be creating to large voids with that deal.

Tandem of Darling + Hutch/Hellebuck and you have a 4D locked up. Also shed cap space for Panarin's extension....just food for thought.

Lose an NHL quality starter for two players who may never EVER reach high status?

Nope/

Did anybody see Tazer and the two broken sticks on the bench against Leafs?

Just wondering, did they have cracks or was that game frustration he wastaking out on them?

About the ice results?

Frustration over his linemates?

You have to have had to be there to answer me...

not stirring the pot, just trying to connecy the true dots...of the actual incident(s)...

Maybe he tried to use Seabrook's sticks - those things break like kindling so often.

Interesting that Rosi is playing his first game when his fellow countryman is sitting.

Lets just say he was more effective than Bollig and Mashinter lol

Was a first round pick if I'm not mistaken. Kid could really skate. Tootoo is skating well and bringing the energy. Won't want to drop the mitts with Engelland though.

Actually sounded like he's good with that as long as they are given time to learn each others' tendencies and gel.

with the way #Richardpanik has started...he will stay with toews until he shows again who he is probably by the end of nov...

1RW will be rotation between hossa, kane and pick your entry level guy...

Trouba won't do that deal. Won't pluck Hutch or Hellybuck out of there either.

EDIT: Winnipeg will be getting better. Good farm system. And once their young defensive guys develop, then they will have a better blue line. They could throw Adam Lowry this way, but that's a big guy, young, can play wing or center, and is relatively cheap (contract-wise).

... or an interesting one from Winnipeg would be Tyler Motte's former teammate Andrew Copp who played 77 games last year for the Jets and is now lost in a numbers game, toiling in the AHL.

More of a project/long term + chemistry play, but could be worth a watch is Motte's value stays high in Chicago over the months/years.

Darling on the PK: The way the traffic has been, we haven't been able to get our eyes on the releases. So we get a sense the puck's coming at us, but we don't know (exactly) where it's coming (from).

ok....this is way past outrageously ridiculous for a nhl team to have a 40% kill in 6 plus games....

They looked way to discombobulated in their own zone. Saw that they had Kruger-Hossa and Toews-AA.

You mean you didn't think it was a good PK to have ALL FOUR men below the goal line?

The team looks like crap even when not on the PK.

I guess now forecheckers can grab the defenders - at least when Wes McCauley is officiating a game.

Why didn't the linesman drop the puck after the Calgary centerman left the circle? Everyone was ready for the puck drop.

Hard to argue with that.
