Anybody else watching Andersen see Gustavsson in his first games in NA? He's swimming like a freaking fish. I watched him in the playoffs for Anaheim and he never played this erratically.

He's being forced to be more aggressive.
Babs likes his tenders to play a more aggressive style.

He's just not use to it.
Hopefully he settles.

Neither are top 10.
Percy looked decent for a while.
Biggs was bad from the start.
A couple 1st round whiffs for sure.

Percy still may make the NHL (I legit have no clue just like the kid). I figure he'd be a 4 - 6 guy now though.

His reply was to my comment so i feel the need to chime in here. i am in NO WAY criticizing kapanen. i think he is an A prospect. i just feel management views him expendable as he is not a home grown drafted player. now i understand not a home grown drafted player doesnt mean much to us. but as kapanen was not the player the leafs wanted (my opinion they wanted maata) they are not as emotionally attached to him. babcock my have huge praise for him and that is great. like i said i hope i am wrong with this i just have a big feeling he will be used as bait to lure a defenseman

completely agree on Kapanen... but what might be necessary is to sacrifice a "Kapanen" for the kind of upgrades that are necessary on the defense.

fact is the Leafs have a luxury right now... as it appears that all of Matthews, Nylander and Marner will turn into legitimate top end players.

trading a Kapanen or other prospect may be the best thing to do ... if the return is significant.

I was more annoyed at the general tone... of the comments on here recently.. the impatience that is expressed with the players.

I have no problem with being patient.

Kapenen just seems like the guy on the outside looking in. They have Soshnikov still, leipsic, lindberg and others still developing. If they can dangle Kapanen for a position in dire need (I believe defense is in dire need) then I'm all for it.

There is also the tendency to view the world with blue and white goggles and be unable to even accept the suggestion that perhaps something isn't working as intended.

definitely not blue and white blindness on my part... I don't think the sun shines from you know where simply because they wear the Maple Leaf - not at all.

everyone questioned (or at least many did) hiring LouL at the time... and everyone wondered what the heck he was doing when he acquired Grabner (the 5 for 1 deal)...
but virtually every move he's made since is looked upon positively because over time the wisdom of his moves are visible.

the same is true of Babcock's decisions.. and he arrived with a much loftier reputation - fewer question marks.

someone said (on Twitter), if a Fowler-Kadri deal would be ideal for both teams.

I wouldnt doubt them doing a trade but not sure Fowler-Kadri is it.They both make the same and Lindholm needs to be signed.They need to shed salary.
