Been through this fire for many years. My late wife had it in 1999 and beat it once. She got 9 more years, before it reappeared and took her. It was a tough last few years of her life and she so wanted it to end. It was a blessing when she passed. I miss her very much because we had been together since we were teens.

I think well see kapanen at some point this year. Good camp and he's playing fantastic with the Marlies.

my expectations
this year are to be just outside the bottom 5.
next year middle of the pack
and the year after that playing for the playoffs.
after that i expect perennial playoffs every year

these rookies are so fun to watch. even though i am not a fan of Budweiser. i bought a case so i could get that cup. now i have a goal light for every goal. so happy when it lit up 4 times in the first game!

12-12-2012. Doing OK. Still being screened. Lost my wife to cancer almost 3 years ago and my disabled daughter was just diagnosed with breast cancer. Not a great time right now. I'll survive it....I have faith that it'll work out for the best.

i just feel management look at him as the kessel cast off. i dont feel they really wanted him. it seems to me like kessel only oked a trade to the pits and that was they top prospect in the pits that they were willing to part with at the time. tor was moving away from kessel so they dumped him and didnt get a real return for a player of kessel's caliber. kapanen is a winger who couldnt make a line up that struggled at wing in town that had 2 top 5 centers. just my opinion

Agreed. I don't want to see Kadri go anywhere. When Auston passes him as #1 C ( next year would be my guess, not that he can't this year but I don't thinks Babs will do it) Kadri is a great 2 C option.

the ducks have getzlaf and kesler as the top two centers

meaning kadri would be slotted into the third line ...even then... the ducks still have vermette

Also not sure why someone would view him that way since his numbers are better than that, and his play clearly shows it.

Babcock recently said that he loves kapenen speed and skill and he'll be here soon.
