You can pretty much stop reading after the first sentence.
Can you imagine the balls it takes to make that trade? Bigger than any of ours. Fans would puking in their mouths while on the phone to Nashville, the same fans who were criticizing Bergevin for not making any big moves.
Whatever the reasons for the trade, he honestly believes that it makes the team better. So much so that he put his reputation and job on the line. We will have to wait and see if he was right. To chalk it off as him jut being an idiot is idiocy.
Know one ever considers Weber in all this. Hey Websy old boy, you've been our best player for years, a pilar to the team, largely responsible for all our success as a franchise, best leader in the game, but we are trading you. Not only are we trading you but your being traded to Montreal for their fan favorite, all star, Norris winning defenseman. The fans are going to be pissed, and if you don't get off to a good start they will crucifie you......Good luck!!!!
The man didn't even flinch. Didn't take shots at the team through the media, no stand up comedy routines, no air brushing logos out of photos, which BTW, how much of a douche do you have to be to do that? He handled it like a (frank)ing man.
Love the guy and good riddance PK.
