Virtanen needs to be sent to the AHL ASAP

Guy is completely in over his head.

Looks totally lost out there, sadly injuries will keep him here for the time being. Utica doesn't have anything remotely close to him at this point IMO

I'm on board. Once Rodin comes back I think he should get some time down there... bring up someone else that can rotate in on the fourth line.

I'd rather Megna or even Zalewski

Megna has solid NHL experience

If Burrows and DD are out, we need some muscle.

Queue the critics and trolls the magic is over .... lol

Well they didn't have it in this game... but were in it till the last minute.... bounces being what they are ... they can burn too.... but hey now they just have to figure out how to score first and play with a lead.

Puck possession down and defensive tightness has slipped last few games

I agree, I think Skille has enough hands to be suffice on 3rd and then those two can fill in on the 4th with Gaunce while DD and Burrows are out with injury, I just don't think management would ever consider sending him down until he's no longer the "best" scoring option in the top 9 (i.e. when Rodin returns)

Sbisa is back to pizza dealin', Edler is back to his brain fartin self and Hutton is having defensive issues. The foundation is starting to crumble....

Sbisa had a few really tough shifts, really bad decision making and slow moving the puck.

That being said, I thought Larsen has really looked a lot more confident the past few games. Defensively he isn't the greatest, but that tying goal (and a few other shifts) he was excellent jumping up to keep the play alive. He made some really good pinches and tried to keep the team on offence, hopefully that continues

Have you even watched him this year?

as soon as the puck touches his stick he wants to get rid of it.

Didn't say he had great hands, but sufficient enough to be an injury replacement on the 3rd line. Better choice than JV, Gaunce, or whomever else you want to slot in that role

When is WD gonna put Hansen back with the Sedins. We know from watching them they take a different type of player. Eriksson played well with them on the large ice surface. He is a smart player and I think he could do well after some time with Bo or Sutter who play a more traditional style. Baertschi is not the answer.

And what could we get for Edler? Getting tired of his brain cramps and he could probably bring a good return, NTC not withstanding

And yeah, Virt needs to go down and play a ton

Not a fan of Corsi stats, except when they show how bad Edler is.

@BlakePriceTSN: Alex Edler was a -23 Corsi at even strength.. I've never seen it. Can't remember many double digits even.
