all my prejudices of players ,contracts ,behaviors ...not winning last yr again.....
at start of camp-season are starting to wash away those thoughts and building nice new ones ...
If this dosnt remind you Of A V's 1st with the speed & control & the unknown waking up in front of us ....constant pressure forcing the issue pressing for T O' short effective shifts ...combos of any kind seem to fit ,3rd & 4th line superiority
1st 2 wks of season and we are moving with strength ... now is when teams
weaknesses have been exposed or injuries have hit hard to top players , or
RFA hold outs causing a log jam till thats cleared up (Trouba -Lindholm)...
I N our case NYR hockey is tracking with high marks for rooks ,FA's ..etc
rebuilding 4th line ..rolling 2 rooks in top 9 ,resigning our own RFA's
trusting health issues w/D men Mac 2.0 is a much faster version than anything we saw last yr.G man/Staal just look solid ,not gonna bowl u over but solid ,with minimal mistakes ...
In general Gorts has pulled the right strings all thru off season....
STill see a D type deal if it falls our way ..... leverage is ours .....

For real though, I remember a show with that kid where his best friend was named Goo and he had a little brother with a stereotypical white nerd friend |

If they continue to play Girardi in a sheltered roll on the 3rd pair I have no problem with him in the line up cause he can be effective in that sheltered roll. What really burns my arse is AV seeing Girardi doing well in that lesser roll and thinking "oh look! hes ready to be plugged back in to the top pair with Mcdonagh!"

Buchnevich should have gone as Peter North, because he's a huge bust |

Girardis been fine so far this year. I don't mind him with McDonagh again, if he continues to play as he has. |

To be fair though, not many options right now. Not sure Holden is the long term solution with McDonagh. He struggled a bit last game. At least McDonagh and G have some chemistry. Until a trade happens, options are limited |

Play Klein on the top pair till they figure something out. Girardi has looked his best in the sheltered roll, not on the top pair. Also, Mcdonagh has looked great this year not playing with Girardi. |

I am just so glad the topic in the last 24 hours has moved back to majority hockey. 2 days ago it was about cats ... 3-4 pages worth.
Can we make sure that never happens again? please? |

Mm I don't know about that. It was a very small sample size, but I believe he was playing with McDonagh the first 2 games of the season before his injury. Only last game was he in a 3rd pairing role to ease him back into game action. |
