Yes. With the WCOH this is a compact season. Every team is going to throw some stinkers in there once in a while. I think it is better to have bad games on the road rather than at home. I just hope we aren't going to have bad games every time on the road.

I watch the games with the TV muted and the radio coverage going, and it's true that Phil Bourque has a never-ending supply of alibis for Fleury (as do many others) no matter how bad he plays, like last night -- but come on, this defense is a train wreck without Letang and they need to learn they can't be thinking offense 100% and defense 0%.

Warsofsky was invisible most of last night's game, which easily made him the best d-man on the ice for the Pens. Cole, who was left hung out to dry by Schultz a few times, wasn't up to the task and he was still the second-best out there; the other 4 were brutal.

holeinone is sadly right about this one. he has let in 4+ goals in half of the games. maf has been subpar but the defense has been even worse. as I said before not even if you take the best of hasek,roy,fuhr,Price and Martin and combine it into one person and have the person in the best form ever would he be able to save that game.

Wait until Murray has to play behind this pens team. Not going to be the gravy train he rode to the stanley cup. He might actually break a sweat or pop a pimple.

What is gimmick hockey? I have seen Carey Price bail out Montreal many many times when they did not even have a chance of winning a game. But Price performed miracles to do just that. The Canadiens did not have any offense and despite that he single handedly won games for them. So don't give me that crap about bad D in front of him. MAF was drafted FIRST OVERALL in his draft year. Much more should be expected of him. But I know everybody loves him and that gives him a free pass. I still say that being a supposed top flight Goalie, he should have had more success playing for that team. Imagine if Lundqvist was playing goal for the Pens instead of the ragtag Rangers. If you judge a goalies by Cups won that means that Price and King Henrik are worse than MAF and Murray I think you would have quite a few people who dispute that argument

Sit there with your Malkin jersey, scream SHOOT!!!! everytime any penguin touches the puck in the o zone and complain about the goalie whenever we lose. Wash, rinse repeat then die.
