cuz it is nothing like it. when they won they played TEAM defense, they had murray, they had Sid, they had Letang, they had a red hot hbk line. now we have nothing of that and this is the result. the thing is we are a average team without letang and crosby. without TEAM defense we are a bottom feeder fighting for last place

The defense has been really lousy tonight. Becoming a long trend for Maatta now. Dumoulin's season isn't off to a great start either. Letang really is the toughest player for this team to lose.

Yeah, they are missing their two best players. It's still not an excuse to be so tragically bad defensively. Gap control is simply putrid.....and it's been putrid most of the season.

I'm starting to think they should take a much longer look at DP and let Maatta watch for a while. Yikes is he bad.

I can easily say Fleury was bad too. The 2nd goal you take the shooter and he's off the post. Then he's terrible when he comes out of the net. Giving up a lot of early chances because he comes out.

Too many odd man breaks. The offense has sputtered. 31 shots on a back up and 1 goal. The Pens must hate playing backups.

This game is a prime example of why I miss a more physical style. Hockey has become boring until the playoffs in probably 50% of the games. No emotion in a loss. Big hits are rare these days. Long boring regular season. I feel bad for people who never seen how exciting hockey use to be.

You assume we are taking the extreme side of it never being his fault because you always take the side that he is the only person at fault for everything. When he truly is the main issue we say it. You just want to only ever blame him. Stop being an extreme idiot already. We know he's not perfect so stop waging war on us for saying its more than just his fault. You need help.

Flower wasn't specifically sharp but the defense was just horrible. Horrible. I'd try a Daley and Dumoulin pairing to get them going.
Määttä is starting to worry me. I'd Probably package him alongside Fleury if the right deal comes.

Packaging won't make sense. Your lucky to find 1 or 2 teams interested in fleury. It's doubtful those two teams are also the two teams that place the highest value on Maata. If your trading both the way you do it is in seperate deals. Trade fleury for liquid assets (picks and prospects) and then use those liquid assets attached to Maata to get something you want (potentially the sweetener for trouba though maybe their are other things available less obvious that management likes better).
