I would like to see Moore sit for a game, have Auvitu put in his place and bring in Santini:

Greene - Severson
Auvitu - Lovejoy
Quincey - Santini

It would be great to see Santini lay a few hits with Quincey. We are too soft.

I agree with the soft assessment. However, Lovejoy would bring down the play of drew doughty right now the way he's looking out there. At least Moore scored a goal this season and brings a little offense.

I would also like to see Auvitu with Lovejoy. Perhaps it would increase the time and space needed for Lovejoy to move the puck without negative results so often.

I like the lineup but with Boucher in for Speers and Santini in for Moore.

Liking this new 1st line so far

The Zacha/Hall/Palmieri combo should remain intact for awhile to build some chemistry IMO. Having guys with the size, speed and skill to force defenses back is a major weapon.

The 5-on-5 and PK aspects of the first period were excellent.

Wild pushing half way through the period. Need to stabilize and get the puck in their zone to generate offensive pressure.

Schneider's rebound control has been terrible since Dano said in the first period it had been excellent this year.

Lovejoy's PK has been excellent this year even if his 5-on-5 has not. Probably in part because he's allowed to ice the puck. Makes it a lot easier for him. That's one of his better skills.

The thing about the lack of finish, in this game particularly where there's been some good scoring chances for the Devils, is that there's actually some finishers on the team.

Some of it is Dubnyk has been excellent too, but there were a few opportunities there that also could have been finished off. That's what makes it especially frustrating. Last year I didn't expect to score because we barely had any scorers. This year we have several.

Hynes needs to stop changing the lines just because they aren't scoring at that moment. You cannot develop chemistry if you're with a new player every 5 minutes

We've had a lot of good chances this game. I'm not really upset about it.

So Hall is the only 5v4 scorer and Paranteau is the only 5v5 scorer

I'm still mystified as to why when down a goal and Minnesota ices it in the third you throw a Fiddler, Kalinin, DSP line out to take the draw in the O zone, but whatever, we win.
