I don't see much tapping the ice in the NHL. Some but not a lot. Konecny was doing it last game too. I get he's excited but power down a little. You don't want to force a player into a pass they're not comfortable with or potentially have opposing players take notice as a turnover gets created, which leads to an opportunity for the other team.
