As someone who has wanted Read traded for years now, I must say he has been beast this year.

It's not without a lack of trying in terms of G's play. G is still running the PP for example and we saw the chances he was manufacturing in his office

Well, Manning has his d zone issues which haven't creeped in yet. But he's a very very strong NZ defenseman and decent in the o zone and can skate. Provy is also a beast with gaps. So, they can do a good job preventing entries and keep it going on offense. It's not too surprising, but Manning still has a big weakness in his game. But unlike Streit, he's better with gaps, better skater, and his aggressive play is all working right now. And you can see Provy is not just deferring to Streit.

Long term, still Gudas I prefer as his partner, but who knows? Depth and spreading it around isn't bad if it works.

All I know, is Manning is completely head and shoulders above Schultz and AMac for the 6th spot.

Not a Manning fan but if he can get Schultz traded, while making the blue line younger, this isn't a bad thing. Manning deserves a lot of credit.

jesus streit has been awful

Probably shouldn't go backwards by trading Ghost for Streit on that top unit. Ghost has much needed speed back there at the top of the umbrella .

Really glad to see Manning starting out strong. I had a good feeling about him back in his first camp with the Flyers... but was definitely one of his detractors last year. Nice to see him doing well, and anything that helps Provorov do well is something I'm a big fan of.
