Correct their getting rushed by the other teams fore check and Jacks quick transition game isn't happening. The spacing or gap control that has been mentioned comes into play more in the neutral zone which in turn would slow down the oppositions fore check.
The team looks slow and the transition needs to be a group of 5 effort and not relying on one player to skate the puck out of the zone. In other words needs to be on the same page for the "system" to work efficiently. I put system in quotes because it looks more like a circle jerk than a system.

It's pretty bad if the skill is still lacking after many years of lottery picks. Lack of skill or lack of coaching should not be an issue at this point.

Not trying to beat a dead horse here, but 10 years into this rebuild, this is an absolute abomination. This team literally took steps backwards in their search for a cup. They were already on a snails pace, and to now be further away is literally inexcusable. I dont care who you wanna blame, its not working.

I would absolutely LOVEEEEE if someone interviewed Snow and asked this question. "Garth after your first year at the helm, you realized that this team was in need of a rebuild. You asked fans to be patient and that it would take 5 years. You're now in your 10th year at the helm. Why has it taken double the time, and yet the team is not much closer to the goal of Lord Stanleys Cup"?

Im with you except with Brock Nelson. He's exactly what he's supposed to be. 20+ goal scorer. He can work on his consistency......but he still was the second leading goal scorer last year i think. Not too shabby

Also players get far too much of a pass from the fans.. need a new GM. A real staff and two top six forwards STAT

I've said it before, but like you are pointing out, theres so many mediocre players on this team that its scary. It kinda got lost in the shuffle cause you had some pt producing with KO and Frans. Now that Ladd has started of slow, its like you lost three 50 pt players. Now you're relying on guys who they been waiting to break out. Not a recipe for success. At this point you should be passing and praying. They shouldnt be in hail mary mode.

Honestly, and im not knocking Brock cause i really do like him.......but one thing i've noticed with 80% of Garths picks is that they're pu$$ies. Save for CC, and CC (one drafted one traded for), every other draft pick (maybe im missing someone) is a "good kid" which translates to soft. Like KO being a power forward.......playing video games all day.

Even Anders Lee who's an ex football player, and a really big body with a big a$$ bobble head isnt mean. Other than Clutterbuck, whens the last time you saw an islander initiate a face wash......get in someones kitchen???
