Possibly. Flyers also had almost too much time from the time preseason opened to the their 1st game of the regular season. I'd put Ghost and Provorov together and pair AMac/Streit. If anything Manning probably deserves more TOI. I also realize with players like Manning the more ice time they receive the more 'vulnerable' they can become.

The way Gostisbehere has been struggling, and Provorov to a lesser extent, I think it would be a mistake to pair them together.

Watch the replay - I watched the game last night via the Ducks feed and you could see Weise's arm/elbow come up and I believe he jumped up into the hit, making initial/principal contact with Holzer's face. Broke the kids nose.

I was there and saw it live and it didnt look all that bad. Hell it was the Flyers check of the game, and while there was contact to the head, I didnt think he threw his elbow up, leave his feet, or lunge. Who knows with the NHL

We have angered Bruce Campbell.

Both Ghost and Provorov need to be skating the puck out of the zone - or at least skating up into the neutral zone with some speed before passing it off. When those players skate with the puck and dictate they gain confidence.

Yes, their breakouts have been very flatfooted, leading to a lot of turnovers a the blue line. Not just the two guys you mentioned, but the stationary passing from our D makes it hard for forwards to take the puck in motion.

on the PP I would like to see Gostisbehere in Voracek's spot. I think getting his slapper from top of the circles there would be nice. Maybe add another shooter like Streit up top of the umbrella.

Again it's only 4 games in. I am not worried though. Things will start to settle down.

One thing not impressive is the goalies. I know the team defense hasn't been great but they haven't been supper great either. Curious to see who goes Saturday.

My problem is that hit is going right for the center of the body. I think he gets the head because the defender is a leaning forward a little.

Okay yeah def not an elbow, but he does lunge/leave his feet a bit as Holzer hits the breaks... If he doesnt hit the breaks thats likely in the chest and not the face... Definitely a penalty not a suspension IMO.

You know, when they first introduced those sweaters, I thought they really looked good. Last night though, I thought they looked like crap on the ice.

On the PP, the Flyers had a really nice passing play for a goal early, then they spent the rest of the game on the PP trying to make more fancy plays. They needed to get the puck to the net and crash the the net more. Gostisbehere is really struggling in all aspect right now.

I had the same experience. That yellow-gold with the orange was making me nauseous.

I wonder if Ghost is feeling the effects of off-season surgery more than he lets on. His bombs from the point have turned into wristers and lobs.
