How merciful of you

This season, I'm intently watching the games and on the edge of my seat when it's close, not just half-watching and waiting for the other team to score. It's like I'm an actual engaged hockey fan again, instead of just dead inside.

It's different from when the Kessel era teams had some brief runs, or were in playoff positions in the standings...you kind of knew that was as good as it was gonna get, and the Leafs had no way to get what they needed.

Now, you watch this and when you have a Matthews, Marner, Nylander, and so on, you know there's a real chance it's going to get better in front of your eyes.

In truth, it doesn't really matter if they play Holland or not. I'd bet some donuts the Leafs won't be super high up in the draft, they won't have great lotto odds this year, and they already cashed in their luck.

Your team is in the unintentional tank phase the Leafs just went through. It's tough.

Been many times. Don't go off resort much anymore. I like all day at the beach and all night at the bar or disco. Swim up bar isn't my spot lately tbh. Can't wait to go back in Dec!
