I'm not making drastic changes. I'm just saying we need to see Griffiths soon and those 3 guys would be my first choice to come out to give him a chance to see what we have.
- burn

I also want to see Griffith, and I think he'd be the perfect trigger man to toss on Kadri's wing.

So whether Leo or MM come out, it doesn't much matter to me at this point.

Taking Leo off gets him off the powerplay, which he really shouldn't be on to begin with. I'm a Leo fan, but he's got hands of stone. last year was an anomaly

He laid some nice hits last night...especially that last one...I think the kid is still feeling it this morning.

I think everybody needs to relax a bit...they've played well, even the best teams in the league are giving up leads and losing games.

SO EVERYBODY GET OFF THE LEDGE

Zaitsev with Hunwick = 29.17% CF, w/o Hunwick = 62.5%

Hunwick is just fine, because bleeding shots means nothing...

I could feel a happy tremor in the HB force when Michalek took the puck off the hand.

I have no idea why Rielly and Zaitsev doesn't become the de facto top pair.

Shuffle whoever else around to find chemistry, but put those two together, FFS

Actually, potential concussion aside, I felt that same tremor when Hunwick got crunched vs the Sens

the lineup is already too young and doesnt have the experience to hold a lead.

let the current kids get their feet wet before adding more youth to the lineup

- Dozzer

I may be the minority...but I'm hoping Lou is working hard to get a reasonable deal for Trouba, Dumba, Ect

It would be very benificial not just for the team but the growth of the team.

If these no deal to be had obviously it's a no...but if he can get a good hockey deal go for it.

Oh man, oh man. Can we talk about how (frank)ing good Marners passes are instead of Martin?

Edit: Oh poop. And another beaut dish from Nylander.

One thing not being taken into account is the smaller goalie pads.

It's rather evident that it is making a difference. Not just with Leaf goalies either. They haven't settled in to the new sizing I don't think. Scoring is way up all around the league

- WingmanWillie

I think they delayed goalie equipment change. Only pants so far

Agreed. Carrick with Rielly was better at generating shots last night than MR/MM, but they looked weak in our zone. Zaitsev would help out there

Martin hasn't had a single big hit all his hits combined don't equal one on Hunwick in game1.

If he had some of those it'd be different.

Not impressed.

- burn

you're not allowed to throw big hits any more or it'll be called a penalty

Really like Carrick but he had a bad game last night along with Gardiner, ditto for Rielly and Hunwick. The best D on the night was Polak, hands down. You can gripe all you want about him but he was difficult to play against last night. The other D need to take note, you have to have some Physicality or you end up being all Gardiners out there skating around in circles chasing guys.

Time to take out one of Hunwick or Gardiner and insert Corrado.
