I agree with you, both sides have some merit. My point is, I wouldn't sacrifice this season yet for a meager return. I think Miller may earn us a 2nd round pick and would earn the same at the deadline. Why trade him now? If a bubble team offered a 1st than sure, sign me up. I highly doubt he has that kind of value.

You're probably right.
But, from the eye to the future perspective, why not lock up a similar asset now, and see what we really have in Markstrom, instead of giving him a safety net all year and finding out he is just a 1b type at the end of the year.

When I was there in the 80's there was a city wide 6pm curfew, if you were out past then you got picked up by the cops.
Never went back.

And to get it they had to play a different way then how WD is setting them up.... which shows that they can play offensively so why not set them up that way as long the two way game will do better for them....

theres obviously been some work done on the D, integrating a system. With so much emphasis on this (esp being something new) its not surprising the offense isnt quite flowing yet. As they get more comfortable and more ingrained the offense will come.
