Knowing Benning, he'll probably send them a pick and Miller for some fringe NHL'er he's gonna waive in the future
- LeftCoaster

Hmm cause that happened later for Drug troubled Kassian it's a pattern...?

Considering Buffalo is the home of the Buffa-slug jersey, I wouldn't worry about it.

Add to that, the fact that The Bills and Sabres are combined 0-5 in championship finals, and our 0-3 doesn't look so bad.

Plus, they live in Buffalo... the tire fire of NY State.
Just think about that while strolling around the Seawall and enjoying the view of the North Shore mountains.

I always get confused with Buffalo... is it the armpit of America or the butt hole?

They did not me just letting you all know

If I wanted to see this stuff I would venture into one of the 29 other threads that are posted daily on here. Canucks have always had a target on their backs with everything. I come to this comment section to talk Canucks/Hockey and so forth. I won't shoot the messenger, I am just saying for next time

I think it's the rarely referenced Butt-pit.

It's amazing for a club has has suffered so much heartache why there is a target

Zero chance Miller get's traded. Canucks management and ownership want to be as competitive as they can to create a winning environment for all the young players in their lineup. I wouldn't be shocked if the Canucks extended Miller for 2 more years.

1) to give Demko lots of time in the AHL to develop.
2) you know there will be another expansion draft down the road after LV (Seattle? Quebec City?) if you can only protect 1 goalie i'd rather have Demko playing in the minors and not eligible and have to expose Miller

Over saturation from the media, too much scrutiny. I think people have an easier time talking poop about the nucks and the Sedins in particular because they're european. You wouldn't see as much hate if we had more canadians on the team or if our star players were canadian. Then there is also the portion of the fanbase that is overly sensitive towards pretty much everything.

Retto Berra I believe was one of the guys Eliotte Friedman thought was a good fit for LA. Low cap hit and no question who is the starter once Quick is back.
- NorthNuck

Ah yes the human sieve . Friedman gets dumber and dumber. Too much hanging around Kypreos

This is why you can trade Miller, providing the return is there.

Good piece but there is no point trading Miller. He is useful for the teams aspiration of making the playoffs. I am not trading a useful piece for a 2nd round pick. no thanks. If anything, he would have a higher value at the trade deadline. LA is on their own.

Exactly.
Miller isn't going to be the difference between a playoff spot and a lottery pick.

I think if the opportunity arises, as it has in LA, you get something for him. Otherwise he's at best a co-pilot to Markstrom down the stretch.

He has served his purpose here. I hated his deal when he signed, but have to admit he has provided a solid bridge between Lack and Markstrom. Now, get an asset or two, and find a cheap, serviceable back up, and let Markstrom run with it.

- Vanoxy

This makes zero sense to me....I think it stems from a difference of opinion on his value. They should not trade Miller at this point.

We could trade Miller Hansen and Sutter for a first second and third.

I have to admit it would be great to have two first rounder's next year. Don't worry, you'll warm up to it as well...

Kiss of death from the Don.

Didn't you 100% guarantee that Pedan wouldn't be waived and even if waived would be picked up ?

WD approach to the game:

Play well defensively .... take away scoring chances... capatlize on opportunity....
"Hope at some point we have the chance to play with a lead"

Okay ... well gusss it doesn't sound like a coach leaning toward creating offense.... that only comes from playing good Defence .... but didn't JB say last game it's the forcheck that is producing more results....

I thought most fans enjoyed seeing a high tempo ... offensive pressure game ... that's puck possession right ...? Not let's sit back and defend ...

Is this why JV doesn't get the playing time to produce offense ...?

Have you ever been to Buffalo? It is a miserable place. I have been around the world and it is the most depressing place I have ever been. Let them have this

Hanson quoted as saying when your team is healthy you believe you can win this no matter what and you are gliding down ice instead of up ...

. sounds more of where the offensive mind set is coming from
