I think if the opportunity arises, as it has in LA, you get something for him. Otherwise he's at best a co-pilot to Markstrom down the stretch.

He has served his purpose here. I hated his deal when he signed, but have to admit he has provided a solid bridge between Lack and Markstrom. Now, get an asset or two, and find a cheap, serviceable back up, and let Markstrom run with it.

Millers as good as gone.

Zero chance Miller get's traded. Canucks management and ownership want to be as competitive as they can to create a winning environment for all the young players in their lineup. I wouldn't be shocked if the Canucks extended Miller for 2 more years.

1) to give Demko lots of time in the AHL to develop.
2) you know there will be another expansion draft down the road after LV (Seattle? Quebec City?) if you can only protect 1 goalie i'd rather have Demko playing in the minors and not eligible and have to expose Miller

Who's doing that...? Why they brought guys like Sutter and Guddy in for support as young experienced guys.... not to mention LE too who's got a few good years left.

plus they are still drafting no matter where they finish JB can find a Demko or Boeser to add to the future talent pool... so this is happening .... the savior lotto 1/2OA well that is a crap shoot that can't be planned for.... if they stumble and fall because of injuries etc being massive okay fine ... but are you all going to the rink to throw banana peals on the ice for a tank...?

Definitely not likely.
We're just throwing poop at the wall.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, they probably take on a guy like Pavalec and hope for the best. I don't think anyone in LA believes they are legitimate contenders this year, so giving up any value for a stop-gap isn't realistic.

I was reading, because that's what I do, that Millers 5 on 5 save percentage last year was .929, which is really good. Something LA might have interest in given they're a much better defensive team than we were last year....I repeat, last year!
