I vaguely remember that show. And I just ordered Roger Waters tickets for next August.

It was my 2nd ever show. I was 11. I got a ridiculous contact high, spent the second half laying in my mom's lap. I wish I could relive that show now, as I couldn't fully grasp it.

I've watched the documentary. Did people back then really think they were going to create a perfect utopian society? I mean, I give them an A+ for their ideology, but they were on drugs

Well, yes. But there is an interview with 3 organizers who basically say that they've been able to have a huge amount of people living together for 3 days without any need for police enforcement or any government.

Yeah, that works for about a week with a select group of like-minded people until society inevitably breaks down and anarchy ensues.

Stick taps to the Flyers for letting Hossa enjoy his 500th for a few seconds. Class move.

Hextall wouldn't have kept him on the Flyers if he had doubts about how ready he was

Leafs lost another game 5-4 in OT. This one they were leading 4-0

Laine with a hatty...the 3rd goal came in OT right after Matthews got stoned on a breakaway.

Really off-topic: did anyone here go to the Pink Floyd Division Bell tour in Philly back in 1994?

I want Provorov to continue to make plays like he tried to do when he fell. He is a great skater and I doubt the falling part will be a regular occurrence. Trying to make plays like that is what makes him a special player.

I want him to learn that sometimes the safe play is the best play, especially when playing against a team full of guys who are ALL better than any player he faces in junior. But I also don't want to see him be stifled or them try to turn him in to a player he is not.

Physical mistakes happen, mental mistakes can be corrected.

Exactly. Modern day example - for the first three days after Sandy hit, everyone was all kinds of helpful to each other, being super neighborly, polite on the roads, patiently waiting for gas and seeking out food stores. But come day four, all bets were off and it was every man for himself. Fights in gas lines, generators being stolen, road rage every time you hit the roads.

I was in my 20's and yeah the contact high was killer. I vaguely remember a pink pig flying overhead and pissing on the crowd. Floyd was always a fun show to go to and the underlying political themes always made for some introspection on the state of the world.

That storm had me on edge even with how close I live to Philly. I spent the duration of the rain on my computer checking the offices I supported to see which got affected. It ended up being the 4 along the coast anything further inland stayed good. Then the next few days were watch for reports of power being restored then head out to make sure all the equipment came back on line properly. Some areas I was warned make sure to have a full tank and locking cap before you go there. I carried a case of water to our offices for coworkers to drink when each came back on line.

All of the goals were individual errors by Provorov against the Blackhawks

Yeah, it was rough going. We were without power for 13.5 days and we're nowhere near the coast.

And it's really as simple as this is why Coots doesn't start those PK's. Just because you are hunting for a different answer doesn't mean there is one.

I'd like to see the stats that show that. My recall is that Couturier is often the lone forward on a 3 on 5 situation. I'm not sure that your perception is accurate.
- MJL

Feanor, do you have the stats on whether or not Sean Couturier has been the lone forward to start and kill off a 3 on 5 against the Flyers since Bellemare has been here? I'm 100% positive that Couturier isn't. I would also like to know how often over the course of Coots career he has started a 3 on 5 over other defensive centers on the team.

If anyone knows this, this would be interesting.
