the ducks need to sign lindholm and have only 300k in cap space. I imagine any trade to move fowler will involve only picks and prospects coming back as the only reason to make that move is to clear space to sign lindholm

It's not that. Garth Snow wants to draft 10 more top prospects before he will trade one of them. The next Isles GM will be very happy with the talent he has to work with. Thank You very much Garth.

I wish the Jets were going after Fowler. Anaheim needs young forwards who can step in and are also on cheap contracts. The Jets have Dano, De Leo (from Anaheim area) and Petan who all fit this mold and could add a 3rd rounder to the deal.

They could then flip Trouba for the best deal and can back off the whole same age top 4 left handed D request.
