Bago and Kransdorf make Chickorin obsolete.
- Der Kaiser

I still think we need to purge a few guys once kane and eichel come back

I severely doubt we do, but it's not like it's a surprise people are predicting it
- sbroads24

could honestly go either way. Bad 5v5 play can be made up for by hot special teams or goaltending or an easy schedule. Not enough for playoff talk but enough to guarantee the team doesnt contend for nolan patrick.

I wouldn't call getting cross checked from behind into the boards getting "bumped off the puck." Most players in the league will get "bumped off the puck" in that situation.
- JetpackJesus

its a learning thing hopefully. if the refs are going to allow somebody to cross check you into the boards and prance out to score the game winner- and call it a good hard hockey play, and not call anything because its ot, be ready for it next time.

Agreed. The dead weight is holding this team back...or i guess weighing them down is more appropriate.

He's at the top, and has been since the day the trade was made. And no i don't miss myers

Edit: I dont consider Ennis dead weight there's just no spot for him. Being in the bottom third of the top 9 (trying not to call it top 6/bottom6) or the 4th line requires a certain amount of defensive awareness that he doesnt have and there really isnt any room for him elsewhere.

I have to disagree with you on Lehner. He makes a few nice saves every game (as expected) and a clunker every game. He doesn't look comfortable or in control. Too many FAT rebounds.

The refs flat out blew that call, they were calling wishy washy touch penalties all night and then when we get a hard cross check in the back they put the whistle away?

It was bush league officiating and the referees should be embarrassed for letting it go.

I think the bigger blunder was reverse of the no goal call on Calgary. They didn't check it or give an explanation because they know the messed up. I still don't understand how this occurred and why Byslma seemed to take the explanation but maybe I'm missing something.

Reinhart has to stay on his feet in 3 on 3 situations. We know that refs are less likely to make calls in OT. They were all over us in that OT segment and deserved to reap rewards from that...can't expect calls, it goes your way as much as it doesn't if that makes sense.

The replay of the first goal clearly has the ref with the whistle in his mouth before the puck is even shot, at least the replay on the big screen at the game so not sure what was going on there.

Saying Reinhart has to stay on his feet is like saying guys should stay on their feet when the are slew footed, when you get crossed checked that hard from behind that far away from the board, you don't stay on your feet.

This is not objective. We all see plays like that 10 times a game in battles in the crease.

We have no top line LW then. He's a chucker. A one trick pony. He shoots the puck from any angle. Once in a while one goes in. No hands. Useless on a breakaway and rarely passes. He's tough to play against and has speed to burn but I'm not a fan.

And then the off ice stuff.
